FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
- Will my points expire? Yes. Starting from 1st January 2026, all points accumulated up to 31 December 2025 will now expire on 1 February 2028. All points earned within the same month, will expire on the 1st day of the following month, after a 24-month period. Example (Points earned on or after 1st January 2026): If you earn 100 points on 1st June 2026, and 100 points on 20th June 2026, these 200 points will expire together on 1st July 2028.
- How will I know when my points will expire? You will receive an email reminder 30 days before they expire. Please ensure that you are subscribed to our email notifications to receive the reminder notice. You can also check your points balance and expiry dates in your MyCapitol Rewards (MCR) account here.
- Can I extend the expiry date of my points? No, points cannot be extended. We recommend planning your redemptions to enjoy your rewards within the validity period.
- I’m an existing MyCapitol Rewards (MCR) Member, is my current membership affected? No, your membership remains active. Only the points validity period is updated.
- Can I transfer my points to another MCR Member? Yes, but this require merging your accounts. Both you and the other member would then share a single account, which is not recommended unless you are part of the same family.
